We delivered David's stone marker to his grave today. This was a big job and couldn't have been done without Grandpa's engineering & help. It was very important to the kids, especially Brady, that this rock be delivered to their Daddy's grave. I am proud of their dedication to this gift. I am very thankful for our kids and that they continue to show such love for their Dad. They want to continue to keep him a part of our lives. They have been wonderful about going to the cemetary. They always stop to "talk" to Daddy and then run down to the river to skip rocks. This is why I chose the spot I did. So that it would be a "comfortable" place for our kids to visit. So that there could be some happiness for them...in a place that brings so much sadness. When I stand at David's grave, I know we are BOTH watching as our kids play by the river. In some way it is a comfort...when so few things bring us comfort these days.
