As I sat here typing my journal entry for today, crying of course, Emily comes around the corner and hands me a stack of tissues and then thrusts a card in my face. She'd made a card for David, to take to the cemetery today. It has shooting stars on the front and on the inside she wrote "Daddy, I miss you so much. My heart will never heal. But I love you, and I know you are still with us. Love, Emily" I tell her how nice that is and thank her for bringing me extra tissues. Then I ask where her brother is, since he's not been feeling well, but as I ask, Brady comes around the corner with the card he'd made. On the front he colored some trees, a buck, a gound blind and a hunter and wrote "To an amazing Father a.k.a. "Daddy". He'll be missed" On the inside he wrote "Dear Daddy, We miss you alot. I can't believe 2 years ago I woke up and found out you died. I miss your big hugs in your loving arms. Please watch over Emily, Mommy, and I. Really Miss You, Brady" ...even in the sadness of today, I thank God...and David, for our two amazing kids....I need MORE tissues!
