Just wanted to say im really missing Dave tonight for some reason, its 5:07 am and I just got home from work and another rough night of having to deal With heroin, crack and marijuana. I chased a person who fled a car who had a crack pipe and hyperdermic needles. Why do i tell storys like this, because I have to deal with people like this on a nightly basis and time and time again their brought to the brink of death by these drugs and somehow they make it through and their doing it voluntarily. With Dave, alls I have is memories, I am greatful for those but its real difficult for me to deal with the fact that the greatest man I walked the earth with is gone, and not by his choice, and these other people who could care less are still here. Hopefully this will all be explained to me someday. Anyway, Patty...We got our new shirts and we have a player who i don't believe knew Dave and when asked what number he wanted, he said......#31. I politly advised him "No one will ever where that number again" After a little explaining he was totally fine with it. We have 5 All-City Championships in our team history, the one that will cherish the rest of my life is when we were...STARKEYS BOYS, if you remember that season, we were not to be denied because everyone played their hearts out for dave.
